Shilpa Iyer

Shilpa joined EarthRights as the Mekong Development Officer in April 2022. Prior to joining, Shilpa worked for a myriad of environmental and sustainable development organizations, including marine conservation organization Project O, youth education organization Asante Africa Foundation, and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific. As Grants and Development Associate for Asante Africa Foundation, Shilpa managed individual donor relations, grants, and fundraising. Shilpa began her career as an environmental consultant, writing Environmental Impact Reports for development projects in California.
Shilpa has a Master’s in Development Practice from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science and Management with a focus on Biodiversity, Ecology, and Conservation from UC Davis. She has a passion for providing support to communities leading solutions to worldwide environmental and social issues.
