We’ve analyzed and compared the 138 agreements signed between the Peruvian government and its National Police between 1995 and 2017, and how these have resulted in a systematic violation of indigenous communities’ human rights and how they continue to break the principals of a democratic State in Peru.
Agreements between the National Police and the extractive companies in Peru – Executive Summary is the result of a two-year long investigation carried out hand in hand between ERI, the Legal Defense Institute of Peru (IDL) and the Human Rights National Commission of Peru.
