Neung is a Thai community rights lawyer. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Chiang Mai University, Thailand and is also a graduate of our EarthRights School Mekong from 2011. Prior to joining ERI, Neung worked with the Center For Protection And Revival of Local Community Right (CPRLCR), where he conducted cases and community legal trainings on human rights and environmental issues in northern Thailand, including cases on a the legality of a biomass power plant, asphalt factory and Hmong village rescission of identity cards and associated land dispossession. In fact he was part of the winning team to stop the biomass plant being built without lawful approvals! Neung is a member of the Human Right Lawyers Association of Thailand (HRLA). He speaks Thai, Lao, Skaw Karen, and English.
