Jan Alwin Cutin

EarthRights School Trainer and Mentor

Jan is a passionate advocate for alternative education and lifelong learning for out-of-school youth (OSY) back in the Philippines. He joined EarthRights as an EarthRight School Trainer and Mentor last August 2024.

Prior to joining EarthRights, he served as the Higher Education Coordinator for USAID Opportunity 2.0 Program implemented by Education Development Center, where he worked to link higher education institutions with the Department of Education’s Alternative Learning System (DepEd ALS) to implement programs that provide OSYs with second-chance opportunities in further education, employment, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement.

Jan also supported UNICEF Philippines’ Adolescent Development and Participation Program and UNFPA Philippines’ humanitarian program during the Marawi Siege in 2017 focusing on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Emergencies.

Jan loves traveling and cooking.
