As the Toolkit Coordinator, Ali is responsible for collecting the successes and challenges of the EarthRights School and creating a unified toolkit that can be customized to meet the contextual needs of external organizations and communities in different parts of the world in appropriate and relevant ways. Prior to ERI, Ali was involved with Ashoka’s efforts in mapping the social innovation ecosystem in Latin America. She believes strongly in the power of networks that connect individuals working towards systems change and how they can mobilize action. Ali also worked as a research associate for the international collective, EarthCARE, conducting knowledge translation for a project on decolonial futures. She is passionate about bridging diverse sources and systems of knowledge and is an experienced researcher, writer, and educator in the field of sustainable development. Ali holds a BAH in Global Development from Queen’s University and an MA in Educational Studies from the University of British Columbia.
