Lorena Zenteno Villa

Lorena Zenteno Villa is a legal intern with EarthRights’ legal team for Fall 2025. She is an S.J.D. candidate in Climate Change, Law, and Policy at the University of Miami School of Law and a licensed attorney in Chile. She also holds an LL.M. in Environmental Law from the University of California, Davis, and a Master’s in Business Law from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Her research focuses on rights-based climate litigation in Latin America, with emphasis on gender, Indigenous rights, children’s rights, and disability-inclusive climate justice.

Prior to joining EarthRights, Lorena interned with the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) and with Earthjustice’s International Program, supporting litigation and advocacy on climate and human rights issues. She also served as a law clerk in Chile, working on constitutional, environmental, and human rights cases at  the Supreme Court of Chile.

Lorena brings extensive experience in comparative environmental law and international human rights, and she is passionate about advancing climate justice.
