Maya Khanna

Maya Khanna is a J.D candidate at New York University School of Law focused on the intersection of human rights, climate change, and community land rights. At NYU, Maya is involved in the Environmental Law Society, the International Law Society, The Earth Rights Research and Action Clinic, the Environmental Law Journal, and serves as a research associate at the Institute for Policy Integrity.

Prior to law school, Maya served frontline communities impacted by land grabbing and climate injustice as a campaign strategist at the International Land Coalition and as a research associate at California Environmental Associates. Maya’s background as an advocate drives her to support community-led climate and resource management solutions.
