José Antonio is a sociologist from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos that is currently working in a masters in Political Sciences and Governance in the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He has more than 15 years working in the public and private sector in cooperation project management, skill development and social research.
He’s worked in the fields of education, human rights, criminalization, mining conflicts and environmental impact. He’s published research papers and books on mining conflicts, the patterns through which human rights are vulnerated, and the impacts of mining.
In his current stage in life he’s enjoying spending time with his two sons and nurturing in them their imagination.
