Daniela Colaiacovo

Communications Director

Daniela Colaiacovo (she/her) joins EarthRights International with 25 years of experience developing and implementing communications strategies for international development and social justice causes. She has worked globally and domestically to promote programs and activities of mission-driven organizations and support communities and local partners in their efforts to advance human rights. Throughout her career Daniela has managed all facets of communications, including branding, messaging and positioning, media relations, digital and online media, multimedia production, public awareness campaigns, graphic design, publications, events, crisis communications, and marketing. Prior to ERI, she held communications positions at various nonprofit organizations, such as the Pan American Development Foundation, International Foundation for Electoral Systems, United Nations World Food Program USA, Media Matters for America, Families USA, Conservation International, and International Center for Journalists. She holds a Masters in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University and a Bachelors in Journalism from the Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Daniela is originally from Argentina, was raised in Brazil and is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English. In her free time, Daniela enjoys exploring local parks and trails, listening to records, building puzzles, and reading.
