Namfon is a 2016 graduate of the EarthRights Mekong School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in geographic and cultural management from Srinakharinwirot University in Thailand. Namfon has worked as a volunteer at the Northern Development Foundation, where she served as a coordinator among communities who suffer impacts from the Tak Special Economic Zone. Working with the Northern Development Foundation, she helped her community file a complaint to the authorities in the local and central governments. She conducted research and helped build a database for the Special Economic Zone and shared this with communities, media and other organizations to campaign for support for affected communities. Namfon speaks Hmong, Thai, Karen and English.
